New Cooperation between Dragonwood Rail and ATR Group
We are glad to finally being able to share that Dragonwood Rail BV started a cooperation with ATR Group. With the combined knowledge of the Railway business and the bamboo, this will be very beneficial for the implementation of the BCS and for the Railway companies around the world.
Bamboo composite railway sleeper in Dutch track
In collaboration with Strukton Rail, Dragonwood Rail has been able to install the first bamboo composite sleepers into the Dutch track.
BCS in track
For the first time the bamboo composite sleeper (BCS) is assembled in a track.
Dragonwood Rail BV is born
In November 2021 the company Dragonwood Rail BV is born.
FSC® certified!
To make sure we use only the best materials and deliver the sustainable quality we need, we are glad to be FSC certified now.
Testing has started
The TU in Munich is staring to test our BCS. They will perform pull out tests for the bolts, 3 million load cycles with inclined load, 5 million load cycles with straight load and several stiffness tests. Also the reaction to heat and cold is being investigated.
Testing is finished!
The BCS has successfully finished testing at the renowned TU München premises and is now being certified for European use.
First Bamboo composite sleepers in Europe
In February the first Bamboo Composite Sleepers arrived in Europe! They will be tested and used for the certifying process.
